HEARTIEST CONGRATULATIONS:
Heartiest Congratulations to one and all on the Silver Jubilee Celebration Year of our beloved “BSNL”. On this very special occasion for all of us i.e. the 25th year of Service to the Nation by BSNL, we extend our heartfelt greetings and warm wishes to all the Executives, Employees and all other stakeholders of BSNL who have given their best for this great Journey of BSNL.
Over the last 25 years, BSNL has emerged as a strong Telecom Company and it is one of the four Telecom companies which continues to provide Telecom services successfully to the citizens of India.
Naturally, this journey from totally Government Department to Government owned PSU was not an easy journey as feared by many including certain officers in Management of BSNL and DoT. But time and again BSNL has proved that all these doubts and fear was unwanted and BSNL has its inner strength and ethical values of Service to Nation and hence has reached to this milestone highly successful Journey of 25 years.
Since its foundation on 01/10/2000, BSNL has stood as a proud symbol of India’s public sector ethos, ensuring connectivity to the remotest corners of the country, providing services equally in Rural and Urban areas thereby upholding high ethical values of providing Telecom service to the Nation and acting as the lifeline of rural and strategic communications.
This Silver Jubilee Year (2000–2025), marks a significant milestone in the overall up and down journey of BSNL and we feel proud that BSNL is built on the dedication, resilience, and commitment by the each and every Executive and employee of BSNL who devoted worked for growth & development of BSNL and gave befitting reply to others who were doubting on survival of BSNL.
Over these 25 years, we have navigated technological shifts, market challenges, and policy changes and we have witnessed that many policies were against the interest of BSNL and favouring private Telecom Operators. We have witnessed total change in working of BSNL and over the years, faced all odd situations. About 24 Telecom Companies have started Telecom Business with the globalization and being a PSU, it was the most difficult task for BSNL to compete with these Private Players in the Telecom sector with ethical values of PSU and with affordable Telecom services and solutions.
Over the period, we have witnessed biased approaches of certain stakeholders of BSNL, who have always ignored needs, priority and interest of the BSNL and even not bothered to the interest of the Government and wasted hard earned money of BSNL by unfair policies viz. undue due delay with last priority to the interest of BSNL in GSM equipment tendering, biased auction and forceful allotment of spectrum to BSNL and recovery of huge amount from BSNL, biased USO fund allocation, Roaming Charges among Circles/within states, charging Pension contribution at maximum of basic for years together and so on.
Despite all such manmade hurdles, BSNL has remained steadfast in its mission and continued serving the people of India with integrity and trust with the theme Connecting India.
Over the years, BSNL has proved its excellence as about all Telecom companies incepted along with BSNL or after formation of BSNL are already vanished as owners have closed business due to less or no profits out of it or on the way of closure of their Telecom business in India due to odd telecom policies due to unfair competition in the sector.
The committed and selfless services by the Executives/ Employees of BSNL with its due recognition by the Government has contributed much in the Silver Jubilee Journey of BSNL and hence we all deserve the highest appreciation and we really mean it.
With your such great commitments and support of certain well-wishers from Government maintaining high ethical values, BSNL is moving ahead with flying colours and its matter of pride that in Silver Jubilee it has played important role in making our Nation as one of the globally five nations who have capacity to design and manufacture indigenous Mobile Equipment of next generations.
BSNL stands against all odds and critical circumstances and is not only surviving, but has been the best PSU contributing to all the Projects and missions of Government of India. BSNL has always given topmost priority to Services to Nation and mainly services to the citizens in rural areas without looking into profit or loss out of such selfless services.
Thus by facing all odd conditions, unfair Market, difference in ethical values to be followed in competitive market, internal forces working against BSNL, attacks by abnormal changes in policies under influence of the lobby of Private Telecom Operators, BSNL has stood up to the position that its works and contribution to Nation have been personally recognized and underlined by Respected Shri. Narendra Modi ji, Honourable Prime Minister of India in inaugural Function of 4G Swadeshi Network by BSNL. The respected Prime Minister of India has categorically recognized BSNL as strategic partner of Government and appreciated overall contribution by BSNL and its workforce in his two prominent Missions Atmanirbhar Bharat and Digital India for uplifting the lives of citizens of India.
Our beloved Association, SNEA along with other Unions and Associations has played a vital role in this journey of BSNL opposing all such anti BSNL and anti-Telecom policies framed from time to time thereby protecting the interest of BSNL and its workforce. We feel proud that SNEA stood with Executives of BSNL, walked shoulder to shoulder in championing your rights and contributed in strengthening our beloved BSNL in this journey Silver Jubilee Celebrations.
On this important occasion, let us remember the great contribution by all leaders of Associations /Unions and also by the Management of BSNL in the Silver Jubilee Journey of BSNL.
This Silver Jubilee journey of BSNL is not just a celebration of the legacy of our committed and devoted lifelong services, but it is a tribute to tireless efforts, sacrifices, and unwavering belief in the BSNL and its core values by all of us.
While we celebrate Silver Jubilee year of BSNL let us remember the contribution of the Executives, Non-Executives who served BSNL for years together and left on superannuation retirement or Voluntary Retirement or under Voluntary Retirement Scheme scarifying their left out services for betterment of BSNL and its serving workforce and let us convey thanks and gratitude for their selfless services for BSNL.
The Executives and Non-Executives who are part of BSNL either with direct Recruitment or by absorption are the real Heroes of this Silver Jubilee year celebrations as they trusted BSNL and have given best of their life to BSNL with total commitment and with many sacrifices on pay and perks just with main aim of Service to the Nation.
In this silver Jubilee Celebrations with due recognition and support of Government of India, SNEA is fully committed and determined to raise our pending financial demands with strongest unity and get it settled in time bound manner and we are firmly working on it by overcoming all manmade hurdles and be assured for some positive results in coming days.
Let us all participate in the great Moments of the Silver Jubilee year celebrations of BSNL with full enthusiasm & energy and be part of one of the historic moments in the journey of BSNL and our journey in this BSNL.
Let this moment of Silver Jubilee Celebrations of BSNL, rekindle our collective commitment to transform BSNL into a future-ready, digitally empowered BSNL supporting each and every citizen of India with focus on settlement of our HR issues.
