Respected Dr. Neeraj Mittal, Secretary DoT writes to all Cabinet Secretaries and Administrators requesting for utilization of the services of BSNL and MTNL by Departments /Agencies/PSUs of the State Governments for intranet/broadband, landline and leased line requirements with firm assurance that BSNL will dedicate a separate one-stop nodal point to provide highest level of services to the state Government. - The letter states that mandatory use of BSNL/MTNL Telecom services by all Central/State Government Departments and PSUs including banks and armed forces is decision of Union Cabinet in view of data security needs. Letter also underlines the positive steps taken by BSNL for improving is performance as well quality of services being provided by BSNL.
