This is one more attempt of diversion of attention of all the executives from main focus of overall growth & development issues and engage them in such non-productive works. There are many issues related to growth and development of BSNL and nothing concrete is being done on it, but such actions are being taken to project that Executives and employees are not working.
We have already seen actions for reducing promotional prospectus by reducing five layer executive structure to two, introducing concept of Asset Ambassador without any preliminary discussions with the Recognized Majority Representative Association and now this is one more attempt of binding attendance to everyone as that contract workers.
SNEA has submitted many requests for installation of BSNL BTS at already installed Tower of Rs 45 Lakhs at Corporate Office, but no action has been taken for last two years. When many officers including about all officers in senior management are using alternate SIM along with SIM card of BSNL and not able to put attendance only from BSNL network, how such stringent tasks are assigned to field Executives and Non-Executives is just beyond understanding of common Person.
Such non–productive ideas of twisting and squeezing executives and employees come from useless Consultants who do not understand working of BSNL developed over the years and always looks at BSNL as source of income and gives such non-productive suggestions for working angle of Private Sector. Unfortunately for such non–productive suggestions and projections of employees and executives as Burdon, Consultant is getting Crores of rupees from the hard earned money of BSNL.
By understanding the intensity of the issue and mass unrest against the forceful attempts on name of upgradation of Mobile App for marking the attendance in online attendance system wherein new concepts of compulsory attendance from Mobile app, Location Locking, arbitrary changes in Monitoring and compliance of online attendance addition of new features like Face recognition, Device Locking and Binding of SMS with App etc GS SNEA has conveyed the same to Director HR and CMD BSNL and both have assured to have relook on the issues and concern expressed by SNEA.
We are pursuing for corrective action and are hopeful for corrective action for statement of mass unrest among the executives.
It is unfortunate that during this ongoing period of window for membership change over opened since 16/06/2025, certain deliberate attempts are made by the certain officers in management so the Executives start blaming Associations and its leaders intensively and opt out from the existing membership of Associations.
We appeal the executives in BSNL to understand the gimmicks behind destroying unity of the executives in BSNL and join membership of SNEA or any other association of your choice but be united to fight against all such ill motives. Please do not join hands with such officers who are playing with the unity of the executives by keeping yourself away from Association membership for any reason or such provocation and let us be united strongly. United we stand and divided we fall.
