Confirmation of some Issues/ Queries w.r.t. OTP Window Jan 2026: Though detailed clarification has been published on SNEA CHQ website, till some executives are facing issues is submission of OTP Request transfer Application in January 2025 OTP window and have asked clarifications on certain issues related to OTP Window January 2026 and submission of applications thereof. Some of the queries and its clarifications are as follows.
- Query:Where OTP Request on completion of all India Hard Tenure Stations will be considered at Own Cost or Company Cost.
Response: All the Request transfers on completion of prescribed tenure at All India Tenure Stations are issued at Company Cost except cases wherein an individual has submitted a request for Transfer at own cost.
- Query:Where OTP Request to Tenure Transfers will be given consideration at Own Cost or Company cost.
Response: All the Request transfers to all India Hard Tenure Stations are normally issued at Company Cost except cases wherein an individual has submitted a request for Transfer at own cost. But it is a fact that Own Cost OTP Requests to all India Hard Tenure stations are given consideration with priority over the company cost request transfers.
3.Query: Not getting option for OTP Intra Circle Rule 8 Transfer of JTOs/JAOs from Non-Recruiting Circle to Recruiting Circle and vice versa including Transfer in area of the same Territorial Circles.
Response: Rule 8/9 Transfers of JTOs/JAOs are not covered under OTP window as it is routine and regular Process in separate window in ERP/ESS. Even the requests of JTOs & JAOs from working Non Recruiting Circle to Recruiting Home Circle and vice versa are not part of OTP window and are given consideration separately by concerned Recruiting Circle and requests may be submitted and pursued at Circle Level.
- Query:Some executives have genuine medical issues of self or family members, but are not able to apply OTP Request on these genuine Medical grounds as while applying online, the medical option in the drop down menu is not visible/accessible.
Response: The medical ground dropdown menu for OTP Request on genuine medical ground will not be normally visible for everyone, but the same will be visible/ accessible after ERP Entry of medical ground requests by BA administration. Please first take up matter for ERP Entry of medical grounds and then submit the OTP Application, this option will be visible.
- Query:Where OTP Requests with reasons ‘Others’ will be given consideration or not?
Response: Yes, OTP Requests are given consideration on all the grounds, but requests on medical grounds will be given consideration with priority than the requests on others ground.
6.Query: We are facing some Technical issues while submitting an OTP Application and not able to resolve it.
Response: All such technical issues may be discussed with BA level ERP Nodal officers and till not resolved docket may be raised in ERP which is normally cleared within a day or two. If it is delayed more, please update to DS/CS Concerned, which will be pursued to the extent of clearing the issues raised or concern expressed.
7.Query: Executive not completing two years tenure in present Circle as on today, but will complete two years in coming days but in Year 2026.
- Is he /she eligible to apply for OTP request in this window?
Response: Yes, she/he is eligible for applying for Request Transfer in this OTP window. Now it is a matter of the Annual OTP window and hence one who is completing two years by December 2026 and desires OTP Request Transfer order before December 2026 should apply in this OTP window.
- Will his/her OTP Request be given consideration before completion of two years?
Response: Yes, request may be given before completion of two years, but relieving will be done only after completion of two years. Though we are pursuing restoration of biannual OTP windows, there is reluctance on part of CMD BSNL for the same. As such, all executives who are in need of OTP Request Transfers on completion of two years stay in the present Circle by December 2026, may apply in this annual OTP window.
- Query:I am having specific and urgent queries about these OTP Requests and window which are neither responded positively by the Circle/BA ERP team nor by ERP team at Corporate office and hence I need special support from CHQ.
