Finally BSNL IQ Booking is Online:

Present IQ Booking process is Pencil system and it was on mood of the Officer allotting IQs to whom he gives priority. Many incidents have been notices wherein IQs were unoccupied till the same were not allotted to executives requesting for it. Further charges applied were arbitrary and not properly accounted.

The revenue generated was not accounted properly and hence maintenance of IQs was also poor at majority places except IQs reserved for higher Officers.

Challenges in existing manual booking process was manual booking requests, inconsistent availability status, no visibility for monitoring, non-uniform practices, decentralized information and transparency in allotment.

Taking serious note of all such complaints for many of the executives, SNEA has demanded for online Booking of IQs and it was discussed in different formal agenda meeting and assured by Director HR, but it is finally decided and acted on it now.

CMD BSNL has inaugurated the online booking portal in the presence of the Board of Directors on 24th November 2025. The portal for online booking of BSNL Inspection Quarters has been developed by ITPC Pune.

At present, the IQs of Delhi and Pune have been migrated to the portal. The booking of all BSNL Inspection Quarters should commence through the online IQ booking portal within fifteen days. ITPC Pune is conducting training of Circle Nodals on online booking of BSNL IQs all over India.

The IQ Booking Portal is an in-house web-based solution developed by ITPC Pune, to streamline the booking and management of IQs across BSNL Circles. Shri Vinay Gadekar, SDE ITPC Pune and member of SNEA is nodal officer and has played vital role in developing this IQ Booking portal.

This IQ Portal provides a centralized, transparent and user-friendly system enabling employees to check availability, book IQs online, receive instance confirmations and submit feedback- all within a single interface.
