Great and Grand Circle Conference of SNEA CTD at Kolkata:

The fourth Circle Conference of SNEA CTD/Kolkata Circle was successfully conducted on 07 & 08/02/205 at  Conference Hall, CTO Building, Kolkata. In the two days conference, SNEA CTC organized the open session on the first day and the delegate session and election of Circle Office Bearers/Body on the next day. This Conference was also attended by all District Secretaries, CEC/CWC Members, Delegates and activists from CTD Circle.  The proceedings of the Conference started with the flag hoisting ceremony at 1515 Hrs, followed by the open session from 1530 hrs.

The fourth Circle Conference of SNEA CTD/Kolkata Circle was successfully conducted on 07 & 08/02/205 at  Conference Hall, CTO Building, Kolkata.

Open Session: This Open session was presided over by Shri. Uttam Kumar Pal, CP SNEA CTC and was attended and addressed by the following dignitaries and guests.

All the guests and dignitaries were felicitated and given warm welcome by CTD Circle.

This Open Session was also specially attended by the many activists common members  and the conference hall  was fully packed with beloved members came from the nook  and corners of CTD and West Bengal circle as well.

The proceedings  of the Open Session started with  lighting of the lamp by hands of all the dignitaries and guests and welcome song in Bengali by SNEA activists Shri Prabir Nayek SDE Mktg South and Smt. Debasree Ganguly SDE Staff/West Kolkata.

The Open Session started in the joyful mood by delivering the keynote address by Shri. Soumik Ghosh, Circle Secretary  providing an overview of the association’s progress during his tenure.

The conference featured in-depth discussions on several important topics that are directly impacting all the executive fraternity like pay revision, standard Pay scales, Promotion Policies etc.

All the dignitaries, leaders on dais shared views on different ongoing developments and current issues related to BSNL and its executives.

Shri Dipesh Chandra Tikadar, CGM CTD, Shared the remarkable achievements of CTD so far and shared valuable insights on the operational challenges faced by the organization and expressed a commitment to improving working conditions for the employees.

Shri. M. S. Adasul, General Secretary, SNEA,  delivered his valuable speech providing an overview of the association’s progress and future plans.  He emphasized the importance of unity and collective bargaining in securing employee rights. He also explained the necessity for the implementation of standardized pay scales across the organization and also mentioned the concerns regarding the slow progress in promotion avenues and the need for a more structured and timely promotion system. He also added the legal challenges and the status of ongoing court cases related to executives’ promotions. He also mentioned and gave the updates of the SDE to AGM promotions, AO to CAO promotions, JTO to SDE promotions, DGM promotions, promotions in Civil and Electrical wings, SDE reversal case etc. One of the most noteworthy announcements during the conference was that expectedly all major long-pending HR issues are set to be resolved in April 2025, as it was designated the HR Month by the BSNL mgmt.

Shri Uttam Kumar Pal, President SNEA CTD in his presidential address summarized the proceedings of the meeting and highlighted important points conveyed by the prominent speakers. In conclusion of his address, he conveyed vote of thanks to all dignitaries, guest and all leaders and members for attending this conference and making it grand success.

Shri. Soumya Acharya and Smt. Debasree Ganguly both very nicely and beautifully anchored the Open Session  and played a crucial role in keeping the momentum and enthusiasm of event organized and enhanced gaging. Their coordination ensured smooth transitions throughout the conference sessions.

All the guests were felicitated with Memento presented by hands of leaders of SNEA CTD Circles    

The active participation of prominent speakers and the focus on key issues make this conference a pivotal event in the ongoing journey for improved working conditions and employee welfare.

The entire proceedings of Open Session started at 1530 Hrs concluded at 1900 Hrs with National anthem and dinner thereafter.

Delegate Session: The delegate session was held on second day for all other proceedings of the Conference.

Shri. Soumik Ghosh, Circle Secretary SNEA CTD presented the brief report on activities done by SNEA CTD during last tenure and updated house about status of different Circle level HR issues pursued by SNEA CTD. His report was appreciated and unanimously approved and adopted by the house.

On behalf of Shri. Partha Baidya, CT SNEA CTD Circle, the Treasurer Report was presented by Shri. Soumik Ghosh, CS SNEA CTD Circle and same also was unanimously approved and adopted by the house.

Shri. M. S. Adasul, GS SNEA responded and satisfactorily replied to all the queries raised by the delegates and updated status of different HR issues.

Thereafter Shri. Soumya Acharya, was nominated as Election Officer and  existing Circle Body was dissolved by President.   In an unanimous elections held thereafter under chairmanship of Shri. Prosun Ghosh, Shri. Harekrishna Fouzdar and Shri. Sankar Karan are respectively elected as Circle President, Circle Secretary, Circle Treasurer for three years tenure 2025-28. Newly Elected Circle Body. <<<>>>>

The Election officer gave oath of allegiance to newly Elected President and President further gave oath of alliance to all other newly elected Circle Office Bearers of SNEA CTD Circle. 

The new body passed a  significant resolution during the conference, was to resolve all the pending  HR issues of circle level in time bound manner and  keeping in touch with CHQ team for the resolution of the issues concerning  with CHQ and as a whole building  a vibrant SNEA in CTD.

This SNEA CTD Circle Conference, held in Kolkata, was a highly productive and successful event that fostered unity among members and focused on resolving long-pending issues within the organization. Photos<<<>>>
