This letter is issued by taking note of complaints from individuals wherein till today the EPF Higher Pension options are not submitted/approved by the Units/Circles.
Taking note of discussions in CWC Ahmedabad, SNEA also has raised issues and requested for intervention of pending cases from some Circles.
In this letter PGM CA has issued binding instructions from BSNL Management to Circle Heads/IFAs for taking serious note of need of the action on their part for updating required data for approval of the options submitted by BSNL recruits.
Letter clearly mentions that Circle are custodians of all essential records and sole custodian and all required actions are to be taken by Circle and failure to comply with EPFO directions is sole responsibility of Circle.
As such all CS/DS and individuals whose Higher pension Options are till not approved by EPFO for any reason, are requested to take follow up with EPFO Nodal Officers/IFAs and Circle Heads and till issues are not resolved, then in such specific cases, the details may be updated to Shri.
