This is good step by BW unit and we must appreciate it. But fact is that after such clear instructions and making funds available, till there will not be any improvement in the cleanliness and maintenance activities of some staff quarters, due to negligent approach by some officers.
Majority of Staff Colonies and Inspection Quarters are in Worst Condition and every time reason given is non-availability of funds, which will not be reason now.
We were surprised that for some Colonies and for some Inspection Quarters funds are available in lakhs of rupees to keep it in best condition and for some Colonies and for some Inspection Quarters funds are not available even in few thousands of rupees, this is nothing but biased approach on inefficiency of certain officers to get funds.
Hopefully now the condition of all BSNL Staff Quarters and Inspection Quarters will improve and will be of leaving standard.
Now it is duty of we all, to take up matter with concerned authorities and see that BSNL Colonies and Inspection Quarters are maintained neat and clean and up to leaving standard. If not, the matter needs to be reported at appropriate level.
