Prime Minister Narendra Modi today delivered an inspiring speech in Odisha, applauding Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) for its pivotal role in India’s telecom sector and digital empowerment journey.
The Prime Minister described BSNL as the “people’s company,” praising its 25 years of dedicated service in connecting rural and urban India. He highlighted the company’s contributions to affordable communication, digital inclusion, and nation-building.
“BSNL has been the backbone of India’s telecom growth. Its journey reflects our determination to ensure every citizen has access to modern communication facilities,” PM Modi said.
He assured full government support for BSNL’s modernization plans, including 4G and 5G rollout, and emphasized Odisha’s importance in driving India’s digital transformation. Connectivity, he said, is enabling new opportunities in education, healthcare, and entrepreneurship in the state.
The address ended with resounding applause, with BSNL employees, officials, and citizens feeling reinvigorated by the Prime Minister’s encouragement and vision of a Digital India for All.
