In a Milestone achievement, BSNL Visakhapatnam initiated and finalized a proposal with GMR for the upcoming new International Airport port in Bhogapuram, Visakhapatnam, and signed MoU with GMR to provide total Telecom Solutions, i.e., CNPN (Captive Non Public Network), IBS solutions, Wi-Fi solutions, FTTH on revenue sharing models, SIP Trunking, Internet Leased line, MPLS, P2P etc under Green field Project. In this context first private 5G POC deployment was carried out at GMR Hyderabad International Airport, with Core, RAN, 5G Indoor outdoor CPEs, 5G CC Cameras, and Critical Infrastructure monitoring with different types of sensors specifically showcasing for airport use cases and demonstrated in the presence of all the vertical CEOs & CIOs of GMR and CGM AP, PGMT Visakhapatnam. The initiative is a collaborative effort between GMR, a leading provider of airport infrastructure, and BSNL, a Government of India public-sector organization, along with several BSNL-affiliated technology start-ups and OEM partners.
